Happy February, everyone!

I know for many of us it feels like January lasted about 290 days, so if nothing else, we made it through! Between the cold and all the snow we got last month, it felt like winter really made itself known. At the same time, the days are getting a little longer, and that tiny bit of extra light feels like a quiet sign that spring is on its way.

Lately, I have been thinking a lot about community and how important it feels right now. February is often known as the month of love, but love does not have to mean romance. It can mean showing up for a friend, supporting your local community, or simply being kinder to yourself. Even small acts of care and compassion can ripple outward and make a real difference.

That spirit of connection is what inspired something new at Studio 10 this month.

I am really excited to be hosting our very first Monthly Women’s Circle on February 21, a collaboration between myself and Karissa of @pineapplesagehealingservices. Each month will look a little different, but the heart of this gathering is to create a welcoming, supportive space for women to slow down, connect, and be fully themselves. For our first circle, we will weave together gentle yoga, light reiki, meditation, a sound bath, and time for journaling or open discussion within a supportive group setting. No experience is needed, just a willingness to show up as you are.

February also brings a few updates to our weekly class schedule.

Our Unwind & Restore class is staying exactly the same in spirit, but now has a simpler name. You will find it on the schedule as Gentle Yoga every Monday evening. Expect the same calming, accessible practice you know and love.

We are also adding a new Yin Yoga class on Wednesdays. This quiet, grounding practice focuses on longer-held poses and deep rest, offering a chance to slow down and reset midweek. The first Wednesday of the month will be a free Community Class, because everyone deserves access to rest and care.

And finally, I am so happy to share that Paws for Yoga is back on Saturday, February 28. This is a gentle, restorative class where all proceeds will be donated to Forever Paws Animal Shelter. It is a beautiful way to relax, restore, and support animals in our local community at the same time.

Thank you, as always, for being part of this space. Whether you come to class, join a circle, or simply read these reflections, you are part of this growing community. I hope February brings you moments of ease, connection, and a little extra light.

With gratitude and love,
Rebecca

New Year Reflections

Happy New Year, friends! I hope the first few days of 2026 have been kind to you. I’m excited to share a few offerings to help you ease into January with a little more comfort, connection, and calm.

 Community Week: Free Gentle Yoga

To start the year with softness, I’m offering two free gentle yoga classes on
Monday, January 5 and Wednesday, January 7 from 6 to 7 pm.

If you’d like to join, please sign up online ahead of time.
At this time, I’m asking everyone to register so the room stays cozy and comfortable for all.

Mats and props are available. Just bring yourself and whatever version of you shows up that day.

Paws for Yoga: Yin & Sound Bath

Our next Paws for Yoga class will be Sunday, January 18 from 11am-12pm.

This will be a special Yin Yoga class with a relaxing sound bath.

Yin Yoga is a gentle, slow, floor-based practice where we hold poses for a few minutes at a time. It works into the deeper connective tissues while calming the mind and helping the body release tension. It’s friendly, accessible, and perfect for anyone craving softness and stillness.

And as always, 100% of the proceeds will support our local animal friends at Forever Paws Animal Shelter.

 A New Year Without Deprivation

This time of year, the world loves to talk about cutting things out. Cutting back. Cutting off.

I’m not really into that.

Instead of depriving ourselves, what if we added something simple and nourishing? Let’s start with something most of us actually need more of anyway: water.

Drinking more water is one of the easiest ways to support your nervous system. When you’re hydrated, your heart works easier, your brain thinks clearer, your digestion runs smoother, and your anxiety has a harder time sneaking up on you. Even mild dehydration can make you feel more on edge, tired, or irritable.

So instead of forcing ourselves into a long list of new habits this January, we can start small. A little more water. A little more care. A little more calm from the inside out.

 A Little Winter Reflection

With winter settling in, I’ll be honest… I’ve been tired. The holidays are a lot, and instead of powering through like I normally do, I decided to listen to my body for once.

I went to bed a little earlier. I tried to eat more nourishing foods. I drank more water.

I’m still very much in hibernation mode, but I’m choosing to enjoy winter more slowly this year. A softer pace feels good. Maybe you’re feeling that, too.

 Thank You

As I look back on the first two months of Yoga at Studio 10, my heart is full. Thank you for showing up, for sharing this space with me, and for helping build a community rooted in gentleness and connection. It has already become something truly special. Wishing you a peaceful, cozy start to the year.

Happy New Year, friends!

Finding My Calm (and Yours)

October 25, 2025

Hey there!

I guess this makes it official - I’m writing my first blog/newsletter! I’m both excited and a little nervous (okay, maybe a lot nervous) because Yoga at Studio 10 officially begins this Monday.

Yoga and I have had a long, sometimes bumpy relationship. I’ve loved it for years, but there were times it felt intimidating. I remember walking into my first class not knowing a single pose, feeling completely out of place, and definitely not looking like someone from the cover of Yoga Journal. I’ve also signed up for classes that were way out of my comfort zone - and others that made me feel calm, happy, and deeply connected.

Through it all, I’ve practiced with incredible teachers and met so many kind, inspiring people. Now it’s my turn to create that same kind of space - one where you can move at your own pace, ask questions, and simply be yourself. A place to breathe, reconnect, and find a little peace in your day. I can’t wait to practice with you.

Before I wrap up, I want to share a few heartfelt thank-yous:

Chris from Green Swan Yoga, for inviting me to share studio space - if you’re looking for early-morning classes, check out the greenswanyoga.com website for his yoga offerings.

Jason and Elif at Inspire Yoga, for giving me the chance to teach over the past year and for creating such a warm, empowering community (follow them on Instagram @inspireyoganb).

My Sissy, Rachel, for being my biggest cheerleader - reposting events, showing up for classes, and always believing in me.

My husband, Chris, for encouraging me to take this leap and cheering me on through every stage of this wild adventure.

And finally, thank you - for reading, for visiting the studio, and for being part of this new beginning. I’m so excited for what’s ahead. Let’s find our calm together.

With gratitude and love,
Rebecca
