What is Paws for Yoga?

Paws for Yoga began from a simple thought: I love animals, and I want to do something meaningful to help them. I see so many animals who need care, comfort, or a home - and it breaks my heart to feel like I can’t do enough. I may not be able to adopt them all (even though I’d love to!), but I can use what I have - my yoga practice - to make a difference.

Paws for Yoga is my way of combining yoga, compassion, and community to support the wellbeing of animals. Through classes and events, we raise awareness and funds for local animal shelters and organizations that are out there doing the real, hard work every day. One person can’t save all the animals - but together, we can help the helpers.

Current Projects

Each month, I host a special Paws for Yoga restorative class at Yoga at Studio 10 in downtown New Bedford. It’s a gentle, calming Thursday-evening session where all proceeds go directly to Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River. Because the Thursday varies each month, please check the class schedule for upcoming dates.

About Forever Paws Animal Shelter:

Collaborate with Me

If you’re part of an animal shelter, rescue, or organization that supports animal wellbeing, I’d love to hear from you! Paws for Yoga was created to help bring people together in support of animals in need - and that can take many forms, from yoga fundraisers and donation drives to volunteer or awareness events.

I can’t promise I’ll be able to accommodate every request, but I’ll always do my best to collaborate and create something meaningful. Together, we can raise awareness, build community, and make a positive impact for the animals who need us most.
